HUGH WALKER is a highly accomplished photographer with an impressive 45 years of experience in the field. His passion for capturing life’s beauty through the lens has earned him widespread recognition and admiration, Hugh’s holds both a diploma in Digital Photography and a Diploma in Professional Photography from NYIP.

Throughout his career, Hugh has showcased his captivating work at various renowned exhibitions and galleries around the world. His artwork has been displayed at Galleries in Spain, Italy, South Africa, Brazil, Holland, USA, Japan, Germany and of course Barbados.

Recently his talent has been showcased in several exhibitions at The Blank Wall Gallery in Greece, (known for its dedication to promoting exceptional artistic talent). In addition he has exhibited his remarkable photographs at the esteemed Chania International Photography Festival (2022 & 2023), a platform that celebrates the finest works of photographers from across the globe. In 2024 Hugh was one of the International artists to be asked to exhibit his work in the inaugural “Your Best Shot” exhibition held in Venice Italy.

Hugh’s expertise and creativity have garnered him numerous accolades and awards throughout his career. He boasts an impressive collection of gold and silver awards from the highly regarded National Institute of Creative Arts (NIFCA) and in 2023 Hugh was appointed as a Judge in the NIFCA competition.

As a seasoned artist, Hugh Walker’s expertise extends far beyond the realm of photography. His unique insights and wealth of experience have made him a sought-after mentor and educator. Hugh has also served as Vice President of The Barbados Photographic Society and continues to support their efforts by providing training and mentorship to members of the society.
